Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences Students Empower Communities Through Medical Outreach

In a remarkable display of compassion and professionalism, second and third-year students of Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences actively participated in community medical camps held at Uthiramerur (Yamaha Camp) on 27th September 2024 and Kundrathur, Chennai (Tamil Nadu Government Camp) on 4th October 2025. These initiatives aimed to provide essential healthcare services, promote health awareness, and extend support to underserved communities.

During the camps, students assisted medical professionals in conducting general health check-ups, recording patient data, and delivering valuable health education to attendees. Their active involvement not only enhanced their clinical knowledge and patient communication skills but also reinforced the significance of community service in healthcare.

The camps received an overwhelmingly positive response from the local communities, reflecting the students’ dedication and the critical role of allied health professionals in public health outreach. Initiatives like these continue to make a lasting impact, bringing quality healthcare closer to those who need it most.
