The second and third-year students of B.Sc. Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia Technology, Cardio Vascular Technology, Cardiac Perfusion Technology, and Physician Assistant programs of Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MCAHS) actively participated in two major medical outreach initiatives — the Nalam Kaakum Stalin Camp held at Maduramangalam, Kanchipuram, and the Yamaha Camp at Kanchipuram on 18th October 2025.
These health camps were organized with the objective of providing basic healthcare services, early disease detection, and promoting community well-being. The students enthusiastically collaborated with healthcare professionals in conducting routine health assessments, recording patient data, and spreading awareness on preventive health practices among the local population.
Their active participation not only enhanced their clinical and communication skills but also provided valuable hands-on experience in rural healthcare delivery. The initiative helped deepen their understanding of public health responsibilities and reinforced their commitment to serving the healthcare needs of underserved communities.
The participation of MCAHS students exemplified the institution’s dedication to community engagement, experiential learning, and the holistic development of future healthcare professionals.
