Meenakshi College of Arts and Science Hosts Career Guidance Programme on Cloud Computing

The Department of Computer Science and Applications, Meenakshi College of Arts and Science (MCAS), in collaboration with the Placement Cell of MAHER, organized a career guidance programme on “Cloud Computing” on 19th January 2026 with the objective of enhancing career awareness among final-year students and acquainting them with emerging industry-relevant technologies. The programme witnessed the participation of 60 final-year students from the Department of Computer Science and Applications and was conducted in the presence of distinguished dignitaries including Dr. P. Sagayaraj, Dean, MCAS, Dr. V. Shanthi, Principal (Shift I), and Dr. N. Prabhavathi Devi, Principal (Shift II).

The session began with a welcome address, setting the stage for an informative and career-focused interaction. The highlight of the programme was the expert lecture delivered by Ms. Elakiya Bharathy Kuberan, Trainer, FITA Academy, Chennai, who provided valuable insights into the fundamentals, scope, and real-world applications of cloud computing. Through practical examples and industry perspectives, she familiarized students with cloud service models, career opportunities, and the skills required to succeed in the evolving IT landscape.

The lecture, held from 11:15 AM to 12:30 PM at Computer Lab 1, encouraged active student engagement through interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions. Students gained a clearer understanding of cloud computing technologies and their relevance across sectors such as software development, data management, and enterprise solutions.

The programme concluded on a highly positive note, with participants expressing increased awareness and confidence regarding career pathways in cloud computing. The event was effectively coordinated by Dr. K. Anitha, Placement Coordinator, MAHER, Mrs. R. Arivukkodi, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Applications, and Mrs. V. Dhanalakshmi, Assistant Professor, ensuring its smooth and successful execution.

The programme served as a meaningful platform in bridging academic learning with industry expectations and inspired students to explore future-ready career opportunities in technology.
