Meenakshi College of Arts and Science & Meenakshi College of Yoga Therapy Champion a Ragging-Free Campus

In a proactive step towards fostering a safe and inclusive academic environment, Meenakshi College of Arts and Science and Meenakshi College of Yoga Therapy jointly organized an Anti-Ragging Awareness Program for first-year students on 16th March 2026 in the college auditorium.

The session commenced with a warm welcome, setting the tone for an engaging and meaningful interaction. The Chief Guest, Ms. Mathuvanthe, addressed the gathering with an insightful talk emphasizing the values of mutual respect, discipline, and positive student relationships. She shed light on the legal implications of ragging and strongly encouraged students to report any such incidents without hesitation, reinforcing the importance of accountability and awareness.

The program was designed to be interactive, enabling students to actively engage and gain a deeper understanding of the seriousness of ragging and their role in preventing it. The session effectively sensitized the participants and empowered them to contribute to a respectful campus culture.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing sincere appreciation to the Chief Guest and the organizing team. The program was successfully coordinated by Mrs. R. Anuradha, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, MCAS, and Ms. Shruthee M S, Assistant Professor, MCYST.
