In alignment with the directive of the Narcotics Control Bureau, Meenakshi College of Arts & Science (MCAS) observed the Nationwide Drug Awareness Campaign on 14th August 2025. The event aimed to educate students about the harmful effects of substance abuse and to inspire them to embrace a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
As part of the campaign, a Painting Competition on the theme “Beauty of a Drug-Free Life” was organized, where students showcased their creativity in spreading the message of hope, positivity, and a brighter future without drugs. In addition, an E-Pledge was taken by the participants, reaffirming their commitment to remain drug-free and to raise awareness among their peers.
Students from different departments across both Shift I & II participated with great enthusiasm, making the event vibrant and impactful. The program successfully sensitized students on the grave dangers of drug abuse, while reinforcing the values of responsibility, wellness, and collective action against this social menace.
The event concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners, appreciating their efforts and contribution in promoting the message of a drug-free society.
