Meenakshi College of Nursing, MAHER Observes World Water Day

Meenakshi College of Nursing, MAHER, marked World Water Day on 3rd April, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, with a celebration that saw the participation of 80 students and 8 faculty members.

The global observance of World Water Day focuses on advancing Sustainable Development Goal 6: ensuring access to water and sanitation for all by 2030. The event began with an insightful address by the Principal, who emphasized the vital role of water in everyday life and the importance of practices like rainwater harvesting.

In a collective effort to promote water conservation, all students and faculty members took a pledge to protect this precious resource. The program also featured thought-provoking speeches on the theme “Glacier Preservation” by Ms. Karthika and Ms. Thamizh, 4th-year BSc Nursing students of Meenakshi College of Nursing, MAHER.

This event reinforced the institution’s commitment to environmental sustainability and the collective responsibility to safeguard water resources for future generations.
