Meenakshi College of Nursing celebrated Constitution Day on 26th November 2025 with great enthusiasm and respect for the nation’s democratic values. The program was coordinated by Ms. Lalitha D., Tutor, and Ms. M. Regi Cindrella, Tutor, MCON.
During the event, Dr. B. Jayabharathi, Vice Principal, MCON, delivered an insightful address highlighting the significance of the Indian Constitution. She spoke about the history of Constitution Day, which was officially observed for the first time in 2015 to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary year of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. She emphasized the purpose of the observance—to promote constitutional awareness, remind citizens of their rights and duties, and reinforce the core values of democracy, equality, and justice.
A total of 7 faculty members and 48 students participated in the celebration. The participants collectively took the Preamble pledge, reaffirming their commitment to uphold justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity for all citizens. Students also took part in an online quiz on constitutional knowledge and received participation certificates.
The observance served as a meaningful reminder of the principles that guide the nation and the responsibility shared by every citizen in preserving them.
