As part of The Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI), Tamil Nadu State Branch, Meenakshi College of Nursing (MCON), MAHER actively participated in the Tamil Nadu XXXI SNAI Biennial Conference – TNSNAICON 2025 zonal level competitions held on 12th July 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at Sri Ramachandra College of Nursing, Porur, Chennai.
A total of 31 students and 2 faculty members represented MCON in the event, which was coordinated by the Student Nurses Association with the aim of fostering camaraderie among nursing students. The day featured an engaging mix of cultural, fine arts, and literary events, offering a vibrant platform for creativity, self-expression, and talent showcase.
The cultural segment included energetic group dances, soulful solo performances, traditional music, and the much-loved Comedy Time. Mr. Sakthivel K won third prize for his witty and entertaining comedy act that left the audience in laughter.
In the fine arts competitions, students impressed with their skills in pencil sketching, rangoli, poster making, and face painting. Ms. Anisha R and Ms. Sabeetha S (B.Sc. Nursing – IV Year) secured first prize in face painting, winning accolades for their creative and impactful design.
The literary events encouraged critical thinking and communication skills through speech and essay competitions. Ms. Sharmila V (B.Sc. Nursing – IV Year) earned second prize in the essay competition for her insightful and well-articulated writing.
The competitions were judged by distinguished faculty members, with Dr. K. Balaji Singh, Dean, SRMC & RI, Chennai, serving as the Chief Guest, and Dr. S. Ani Grace Kalaimathi, President, TNAI – Tamil Nadu State Branch & Registrar, TNNMC, Chennai, as the facilitator. Both commended the participants for their creativity, talent, and high standards of performance.
The event not only celebrated the multifaceted abilities of nursing students but also strengthened unity, teamwork, and the joy of learning among future healthcare professionals.
