B.Sc. (N) VI-year students of Meenakshi College of Nursing, currently undergoing their internship, participated in an enriching webinar organized by the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council in collaboration with ECHO India on 28th April 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The webinar, titled “Your First 90 Days: Thriving in Your First Job,” focused on preparing student nurses for a smooth transition from academic life to professional practice. Faculty members Dr. Fabiola M. Dhanaraj, Dr. J. Anitha, and Ms. Regi Cindrella M also attended the session along with the students.
The session provided valuable guidance on essential competencies required for early career success, including clinical skills, critical thinking, effective communication, time management, and professional behaviour. These aspects were explained with relevant clinical illustrations, making the content practical and relatable for the participants.
A total of 50 students from the institution actively took part in the programme, gaining insights into workplace expectations and strategies to adapt confidently to clinical environments.
This academic engagement enhanced students’ preparedness for professional practice, strengthened their clinical and interpersonal skills, and improved their confidence in transitioning from student to practicing nurse.
