As part of the nationwide observance of Swachhta Pakhwada from 1st to 15th September 2025, Meenakshi College of Occupational Therapy, MAHER, organized a series of activities to promote cleanliness and environmental responsibility.
The celebration on 15th September 2025 commenced with a plantation drive undertaken by the students, symbolizing their commitment to fostering a cleaner and greener environment. This was followed by a Mass Swachhta Pledge, where students collectively vowed to uphold cleanliness and actively contribute to maintaining hygienic surroundings.
An awareness session on the significance of cleanliness in daily life was delivered by Ms. Leala Joyce Rani, Assistant Professor. She emphasized the role of youth in sustaining the mission of Swachh Bharat and the importance of adopting responsible hygiene practices.
The observance concluded with students reaffirming their pledge to maintain cleanliness and assuring their continued efforts in keeping their surroundings neat and hygienic. The program effectively instilled values of cleanliness, responsibility, and community participation, reinforcing the true spirit of Swachhta Pakhwada.
