Meenakshi College of Pharmacy Celebrates 3rd National cGMP Day with an Enlightening Seminar

Meenakshi College of Pharmacy, Thandalam, enthusiastically organized the 3rd National Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) Day Seminar on 10th October 2025. The event, held at the Seminar Hall, was conducted under the auspices of the Program Committee, with the objective of educating and inspiring students and faculty about the vital role of cGMP in ensuring drug quality, safety, and efficacy within the pharmaceutical industry.

The program commenced with a welcome address by Mrs. K. Soundarya Kasi, Lecturer in Pharmacognosy, who introduced the theme and emphasized the importance of adhering to cGMP standards for public health assurance. The keynote address was delivered by Mrs. S. Gowthami Priyadarsini from the Department of Pharmaceutics, who elaborated on the core principles of cGMP and their influence on manufacturing quality and global regulatory compliance. Her insightful presentation stimulated an engaging discussion among participants, deepening their understanding of the subject.

The seminar also featured a lively interactive session, where students and faculty actively participated, sharing questions and insights related to pharmaceutical manufacturing practices and challenges. The session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Anushiya from the Department of Pharmaceutics, followed by the National Anthem.

The event was efficiently coordinated with the enthusiastic involvement of II-year B.Pharm students, who served as Masters of Ceremony and provided seamless support throughout the program.
