Meenakshi College of Pharmacy organized an ICC Awareness Program on 20 December 2025 at the Seminar Hall from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., with the objective of sensitizing students and staff to the role of youth and educational institutions in building a violence-free, inclusive, and respectful society, in alignment with the vision of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC).
The programme commenced with an invocation, followed by the traditional lighting of the kuthuvilakku, symbolizing knowledge, awareness, and enlightenment. The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Dr. D. Chamundeeswari, Principal, Meenakshi College of Pharmacy, who emphasized the importance of awareness, empathy, and shared responsibility in fostering a safe and supportive academic environment.
The inaugural address was delivered by Thiru. P. Kandhan, M.Com., Motivational Speaker from Kanchipuram, who captivated the audience with an inspiring and thought-provoking session. He highlighted the strength and responsibility of youth, the importance of ethical values and mutual respect, and the collective role of educational institutions in preventing violence and promoting social harmony.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. A. Z. Nafrin, followed by the National Anthem. The event was effectively anchored by K. Sunitha and V. Abinesh, II Year B. Pharm students, ensuring smooth flow of the proceedings. The ICC Awareness Program served as an impactful platform to reinforce social responsibility and awareness among students and staff, underscoring the importance of collective efforts in nurturing a safe and dignified educational environment.
