The first-year B.Pharm students of Meenakshi College of Pharmacy undertook an industrial visit to Medopharm Pvt. Ltd., located at Kairampedu, Guduvanchery, on 18th February 2026. The visit was organized as part of the academic curriculum to provide students with practical exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality control processes.
During the visit, students were introduced to various aspects of pharmaceutical production, including formulation development, manufacturing practices, quality assurance protocols, and regulatory compliance standards. The technical team at Medopharm provided detailed explanations of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), equipment handling, safety measures, and quality testing procedures followed in the industry.
The industrial visit served as a valuable experiential learning opportunity, enabling students to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world pharmaceutical operations. Such industry interactions play a crucial role in strengthening professional competencies and broadening students’ understanding of pharmaceutical sciences beyond the classroom.
