The Industry–Institute Partnership Cell of Meenakshi College of Pharmacy, under the aegis of MAHER (Deemed to be University), successfully organized an enriching industry visit to Saimirra Innopharm Pvt. Ltd., Ambattur, on 13th September 2025. The visit, held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, was specially arranged for first-year B.Pharm students to provide them with practical exposure to the industrial pharmaceutical environment.
The objective of the visit was to motivate young pharmacy students by introducing them to real-world manufacturing processes, thus preparing them for future professional roles in the pharmaceutical field.
During the session, the industry staff provided a comprehensive overview of various formulations such as tablets, capsules, and syrups, along with detailed explanations of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging. Students were divided into two groups to observe the production of oral solid and liquid dosage forms, as well as the operations of the Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) departments.
This first-hand industrial exposure helped students understand the vital role of quality and safety in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The visit bridged the gap between classroom learning and real-world practice, offering a strong foundation for their future careers.
The program concluded with a group photograph, capturing a day filled with learning and inspiration. The visit proved to be a highly informative and motivating experience, reinforcing Meenakshi College of Pharmacy’s commitment to holistic, industry-oriented education.
