Meenakshi College of Physiotherapy Faculty Chief Guest At National-Level Workshop on Cardio-Pulmonary Instrumentation

Prof. Dr. Mahesh Kumar, MPT, PhD, from Meenakshi College of Physiotherapy, served as the Chief Guest and Resource Person for a National Level Workshop titled “Breath & Heart Matrix – Cardio-Pulmonary Instrumentation for Physiotherapists”, held on 23rd and 24th January 2026 at Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai.

The two-day workshop was designed to promote evidence-based skill upgradation among physiotherapists through a systematic blend of theoretical knowledge, hands-on practical training, and clinical scenario–based learning. Prof. Dr. Mahesh Kumar delivered in-depth sessions focusing on the interpretation of cardio-pulmonary monitoring parameters and their practical application in physiotherapy assessment, clinical decision-making, and therapeutic interventions.

The learning experience was enriched through interactive teaching methods, including worksheet-based exercises, case discussions, and live demonstrations. These activities enabled participants to develop a clearer understanding of integrating cardio-pulmonary instrumentation into routine physiotherapy practice, particularly in cardio-respiratory care settings.

The programme attracted enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students of Sri Ramachandra University, along with practicing physiotherapists from various parts of India. The workshop was highly appreciated for its academic rigor, clinical relevance, and practical orientation, and it contributed significantly to enhancing knowledge and competence in the evolving field of cardio-respiratory physiotherapy.
