On the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day 2026, Dr. Renuka S. (PT) and Dr. Jayadharshini E. (PT), faculty members of Meenakshi College of Physiotherapy, were invited as resource persons for a workshop titled “Evidence-Based Assessment and Management of Lymphedema” held at Sri Venkateshwara College of Physiotherapy, Ariyur, Puducherry, on 10 September 2026.
The workshop brought together 60 undergraduate and postgraduate students, along with faculty members, who actively participated in the sessions and gained valuable insights into contemporary approaches to the assessment and management of lymphedema.
A key highlight of the programme was the engaging hands-on session on Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), which provided participants with practical exposure to evidence-based techniques and their application in clinical practice. The interactive format enabled participants to strengthen their understanding while connecting theoretical concepts with practical skills.
The workshop served as a valuable platform for academic exchange and professional learning, highlighting the role of evidence-based physiotherapy in improving patient care and clinical outcomes.
