MFOP Observes World Blood Donor Day 2025 with Awareness Pledge

To commemorate World Blood Donor Day 2025, the Meenakshi Faculty of Pharmacy organized a pledge-taking ceremony on 16th June 2025 at the college premises. Themed “Give Blood, Give Hope: Together We Save Lives,” the event aimed to raise awareness about the life-saving value of voluntary blood donation.

The programme began with an inspiring address by Prof. Dr. D. Chamundeeswari, who emphasized the vital role of regular, voluntary, and non-remunerated blood donations. She highlighted how such acts not only save lives but also instill compassion and a sense of civic responsibility, particularly among the youth.

Following the address, students and faculty members gathered to take a solemn pledge to donate blood regularly and encourage others to do the same. The pledge focused on donating without hesitation, greed, or bias and committing to spreading awareness about the importance of blood donation in their communities.

The event concluded with participants reaffirming their dedication to ensuring that no life is lost due to the lack of available blood. The ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the collective responsibility we share in promoting a culture of voluntary blood donation.
