The Department of Biochemistry at Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute successfully organized a dynamic two-day Student Seminar Program titled “Problem-Based Learning – Nutrivitas 2026” for the I Year MBBS (2025–2026 Batch) on 12th and 13th March 2026 within the college premises.
Designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and analytical thinking, the program provided an engaging platform for students to explore concepts through problem-based learning. The initiative effectively encouraged participants to think critically and present innovative solutions, fulfilling its objective of enhancing student-driven learning.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Sumanth Kumar B, Professor and Head, Department of Biochemistry, followed by the inaugural address delivered by Dr. K. V. Rajasekhar, Dean, who emphasized the importance of experiential learning in medical education.
Students actively participated by presenting a wide range of creative outputs, including models, charts, and videos, reflecting their understanding and innovation. The sessions were closely evaluated by faculty members who served as judges, adding academic rigor to the event.
The program concluded with the announcement of first and second prize winners, followed by a vote of thanks. The enthusiastic participation and collaborative spirit of both students and faculty contributed to the overall success of the seminar.
