The Medical Education Unit, in collaboration with the Research & Development Committee of Meenakshi Medical College Hospital & Research Institute (MMCHRI), successfully organized a one-day Training Program on Good Clinical Practice on July 30th, 2025.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Punita P, Professor of Physiology and MEU Coordinator, with the objective of strengthening participants’ understanding of ethical standards and best practices in clinical research. Conducted in an offline mode, the program attracted around 100–120 enthusiastic delegates, including faculty and students.
Dr. V.P. Karthik, Associate Professor of Pharmacology at Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute, Chennai, served as the chief resource person, delivering an in-depth session on ethical considerations, regulatory compliance, and informed consent procedures. The program also featured insightful presentations by five in-house faculty members, covering key areas such as clinical trial design, documentation practices, and the role of Institutional Ethics Committees.
The training fostered a comprehensive learning experience, equipping participants with essential knowledge to uphold integrity and quality in clinical research.
