The NSS Unit of Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (MMCHRI), in collaboration with the ISO Committee, observed Van Mahotsav Saptah 2026 by organizing a Tree Plantation Drive at the Government Primary School, Enathur. The initiative was undertaken to promote environmental conservation and inspire sustainable practices among students and the local community.
As part of the programme, 60 tree saplings were planted with the vision of developing a green ecosystem and contributing towards the creation of a small forest. The plantation drive reflected the institution’s commitment to environmental stewardship and the importance of preserving natural resources for future generations.
Faculty members, NSS volunteers, and participants actively took part in the plantation activity, demonstrating their collective responsibility towards protecting the environment and promoting ecological balance.
The initiative served as a meaningful reminder that every tree planted today contributes to a healthier, greener, and more sustainable future, encouraging individuals to become active custodians of the environment.
