MMCHRI Observes International Yoga Day 2025 with Enthusiastic Participation

In a spirited celebration of wellness and unity, the Meenakshi Medical College Hospital & Research Institute (MMCHRI), in collaboration with the Faculty of Yoga Science and Therapy (FYST) and the Ministry of AYUSH, organized International Yoga Day 2025 on 21st June 2025 from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM.

The event brought together a vibrant gathering of over 750 faculty members and students, all uniting under the global theme of promoting health and harmony through yoga. The morning commenced with an inaugural address by Dr. V. Eswari, Vice Principal – Academics, MMCHRI, who highlighted the importance of integrating yoga into daily life for holistic well-being.

Dr. V. Subbulakshmi, Principal, Faculty of Yoga Science and Therapy, delivered the special address, emphasizing the scientific and spiritual benefits of regular yoga practice. Her insights encouraged participants to embrace yoga as a lifelong discipline that nurtures both body and mind.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. S. Saravana Kumar, Associate Professor, MMCHRI, who acknowledged the enthusiastic participation and seamless coordination that made the program a grand success.
