MMCHRI Organizes CME on “Co-Creating Youth Mental Health Ecosystem”

The Department of Psychiatry, in collaboration with the Mentorship Monitoring Committee, Meenakshi Medical College Hospital & Research Institute (MMCHRI), organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program titled “Co-Creating Youth Mental Health Ecosystem” on 15th October 2025 at the MEU Hall, MMCHRI.

The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Ardhanaari M., Professor and Head, Department of Psychiatry, followed by the inaugural address by Prof. Dr. K. V. Rajasekhar, Dean, MMCHRI, who emphasized the growing importance of collaborative efforts to nurture and sustain youth mental well-being.

The CME session was led by Dr. Pavithra Arunachaleeswaran, MD, MRCPsych, RANZCP, Consultant Psychiatrist, SCARF, who shared her extensive experience and insights into promoting mental health among young individuals. The morning session featured an interactive group discussion on understanding young people, focusing on effective communication, early interventions, and building resilience.Certificates of participation were distributed to all attendees, acknowledging their active engagement and contribution to the program’s success.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Ardhanaari M., who expressed heartfelt appreciation to the management, dignitaries, and participants for their enthusiastic support and involvement.The CME successfully highlighted the importance of a collaborative and compassionate approach in building a strong youth mental health ecosystem.
