The NSS Unit of Meenakshi College of Nursing, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Kilpauk, organized a Tree Plantation Program on 12th July 2025 within the college campus, reaffirming their commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability.
The event commenced with Tamizh Thai Vazhthu, followed by a warm welcome address by Ms. Thamizh, B.Sc (Nursing) IV Year. Dr. Fabiola M. Dhanaraj, Principal, Meenakshi College of Nursing, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of student-led eco-initiatives in fostering a greener tomorrow.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Ravi Sundar, District Environmental Chairman, Rotary Club of Kilpauk, inspired the audience with a powerful message on environmental responsibility and the need for collective action. Principal Dr. Fabiola M. Dhanaraj felicitated the members of the Rotary Club for their continued support and collaboration.
Following the formal session, the tree plantation drive was led by Mr. Ravi Sundar and the Rotary Club President. The Principal, Vice Principal, faculty members, and students actively participated in planting nearly 50 Mahogany saplings around the campus, symbolizing growth, sustainability, and a shared vision for a greener future.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Karthik Surendran, President, Rotary Club of Kilpauk, who appreciated the enthusiastic participation and the collaborative spirit of the event.
This meaningful initiative not only enhanced the green cover of the campus but also instilled a deep sense of environmental stewardship among the students and staff of MAHER.
