The Medical Education Unit of Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute organized a comprehensive Postgraduate Induction Programme on 24th and 25th February 2026, marking the formal commencement of academic training for the newly admitted postgraduate students.
The programme began with a welcome address by the Dean, who outlined the institution’s vision and mission while emphasizing the importance of disciplined clinical learning, evidence-based research, academic integrity, and ethical medical practice. The session set a clear academic and professional tone for the incoming batch.
Heads of various departments subsequently briefed the postgraduates on curriculum structure, clinical postings, dissertation protocols, academic expectations, and examination patterns. Dedicated sessions were also conducted on research methodology, hospital policies, infection prevention and control practices, and the effective utilization of institutional academic resources.
The induction programme concluded with an interactive discussion session addressing students’ queries, followed by a vote of thanks. The event provided clarity, direction, and motivation, marking a confident and promising beginning to their postgraduate journey.
