Road Safety Week Seminar on “Road Rage Management” at Meenakshi College of Pharmacy

As part of the Road Safety Week celebrations, Meenakshi College of Pharmacy, Thandalam, organized a seminar on “Road Rage Management” on 28th January 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Seminar Hall. The programme aimed to sensitize students and staff about responsible road behavior, traffic regulations, and effective strategies to manage road rage.

The seminar commenced with the traditional lighting of the Kuthu Vilakku by the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Rajavignesh, MA, BL, Advocate and Vice President, Alandur Advocate Association. The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Dr. D. Chamundeeswari, who highlighted the significance of Road Safety Week and formally introduced the Chief Guest. This was followed by a brief introduction to the seminar theme and the resource person by Prof. K. K. Rajasekhar, Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

The Chief Guest was felicitated by the Principal and Heads of Departments. Mr. Rajavignesh delivered an insightful and informative talk, emphasizing traffic rules and regulations, government initiatives on road safety, and the serious legal and social consequences of road accidents. His session effectively addressed the causes of road rage and stressed the importance of self-control, awareness, and responsible driving practices.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. A. Anish Kumar, Lecturer, Department of Pharmacology, followed by the National Anthem. The seminar created meaningful awareness and encouraged participants to adopt safer and more disciplined practices on the road.
