The Anti-Ragging Committee of Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing organized a “Sensitization Program on UGC’s Anti-Ragging Guidelines and Regulations” on 4th September 2025 at the Multipurpose Hall, AMCON. The program aimed to create awareness among students about the UGC’s anti-ragging framework and to emphasize the importance of building a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
The session commenced with a warm welcome address by Mr. Vigneshwaran, B.Sc. (N) VI Semester. This was followed by an informative address by Mr. Dinesh Kumar R., Nodal Officer, Anti-Ragging Committee, AMCON, who highlighted the key provisions of UGC’s guidelines and explained the responsibilities of students in preventing ragging. Students were also given the opportunity to clarify their doubts, making the session interactive and engaging.
As part of the program, all participants took a solemn pledge to say “No to Ragging,” reinforcing their commitment towards maintaining a ragging-free campus. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Jenifer, B.Sc. (N) IV Year, expressing gratitude to the organizers and participants.
A total of 195 students actively took part in the program, gaining valuable insights on the significance of anti-ragging measures and their role in creating a positive and respectful campus culture.
