On April 9th, 2025, Meenakshi College of Nursing, MAHER, marked World Health Day with a meaningful community outreach program at the Kundrathur Health Centre. With the participation of 38 members of the public, 6 enthusiastic students, and 2 dedicated faculty members, the event aimed to raise awareness on the prevention of maternal and fetal deaths from avoidable causes.
Fourth-year B.Sc. (N) students led the initiative by delivering an impactful health talk titled “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures”, engaging antenatal and postnatal mothers in an informative session. The event underscored the college’s ongoing commitment to community health education and the empowerment of future nursing professionals through real-world engagement.
