The Skill Lab Committee of Meenakshi Medical College Hospital & Research Institute (MMCHRI) conducted a comprehensive workshop on Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for postgraduate students on 16th April, 2025. The workshop aimed to strengthen participants’ theoretical understanding and practical skills in managing cardiac emergencies.
The resource faculty included Dr. Vignesh N, Dr. Janani K, Dr. Kamalakannan, and Dr. Bhadhurjaman from the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Anesthesiology, who led the sessions with clinical expertise and interactive teaching methods.
The morning session focused on Basic Life Support, featuring a combination of lectures and hands-on training in CPR techniques and airway management. In the afternoon, participants were introduced to Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support protocols, followed by practical demonstrations and guided practice sessions. The workshop concluded with a written assessment to reinforce learning outcomes.
The program provided an essential platform for postgraduate trainees to gain confidence and proficiency in life-saving interventions.
