Community Health and Environmental Initiatives at Karai Village as a part of Founder’s Day Celebration

As part of the Founder’s Day celebrations, the Department of Community Medicine, in collaboration with the ISO Committee, National Service Scheme (NSS), and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), organized a series of impactful community outreach activities on 20th May , 2025, at Karai village.

The event featured a comprehensive Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) screening camp, offering essential health checkups and awareness to local residents. In addition to the health camp, the team conducted a tree sapling plantation drive, promoting environmental sustainability and increasing green cover in the village. This was followed by a Clean Village Campaign, which aimed to raise awareness about sanitation and hygiene while actively involving students and villagers in cleaning efforts.

The initiative reflected a strong commitment to community welfare, environmental responsibility, and public health awareness, aligning with the core values of MAHER that are celebrated on Founder’s Day. It also served as a meaningful platform for students and faculty to engage with the local community and contribute to its well-being.
