On 20th August 2025, Meenakshi College of Arts and Science (MCAS) organized a Guest Lecture on “Digital Wellbeing of Students” for the first-year students at the MAHER Auditorium.
The session was delivered by Dr. Nidhya, Assistant Professor, Department of Visual Communication, Loyola College, who emphasized the importance of adopting a conscious and balanced approach to digital technology. She highlighted how excessive screen time can affect students’ mental, emotional, and social health, and shared practical strategies to maintain digital balance in daily life.
The lecture, held from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, was highly interactive and engaging, leaving students with valuable insights into managing digital consumption effectively.
Around 200 students and faculty members of MCAS enthusiastically participated in the programme. The event was successfully coordinated by Prof. Dr. Prabhavathi Devi, Principal, Shift II, MCAS.
The guest lecture not only enhanced awareness on digital wellbeing but also encouraged students to cultivate healthier habits for personal and academic success.
