On the occasion of World Mosquito Day, 21st August 2025, the Department of Community Medicine, Meenakshi Medical College and Research Institute (MMCHRI), Kanchipuram, organized a house-to-house health education campaign to spread awareness on mosquito-borne diseases and their prevention.
Faculty members and students actively engaged with the community, educating households on the importance of eliminating stagnant water, maintaining proper sanitation, and adopting preventive measures to curb the spread of vector-borne illnesses such as dengue, malaria, and chikungunya.
The initiative highlighted MMCHRI’s commitment to community health, empowering people with knowledge to protect themselves and contribute to a healthier, mosquito-free environment.
