MCON Students Witness Live Telecast of “Kalviyil Sirantha Tamil Nadu”

On 25th September 2025, the Tamil Nadu State Government showcased its major educational initiatives through a special live programme titled “Kalviyil Sirantha Tamil Nadu (Tamil Nadu Excelling in Education)”, held at the Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The programme was telecast live at the Conference Hall of Meenakshi College of Nursing (MCON) under the supervision of Mr. Loganathan, Tahsildar, Mrs. Dolly, Revenue Inspector and Camp Incharge, Kundrathur Division, and Dr. Fabiola M. Dhanaraj, Principal, MCON.

The event highlighted several key initiatives of the DMK administration, including the Naan Mudhalvan Scheme, Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme, Pudhumai Penn, Tamil Pudhalvan, Kalaignar Sports Kit Scheme, Mission International Medal Scheme (MIMS), and programs designed to support children with special needs. These initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to strengthening education and ensuring opportunities for students across the state.

A major highlight of the programme was the official launch of Tamil Pudhalvan and Pudhumai Penn for the year 2025. Under these schemes, ₹1,000 per month will be provided to 2.57 lakh male and female students from government schools pursuing higher education, offering direct support to enable them to continue their academic journeys.

The MCON faculty and students watched the telecast with great enthusiasm. The spectators responded with cheers and applause, welcoming the state’s efforts to empower young learners and promote inclusive educational growth. In total, 15 faculty members and 120 students participated in the session, making the event both informative and inspiring for the MCON community.
