The NSS Unit of Meenakshi College of Nursing observed National Unity Day on 31st October 2025 at Chikkarayapuram, commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. The celebration was held under the theme “Ek Bharat, Aatmanirbhar Bharat” – a tribute to the spirit of unity, self-reliance, confidence, and readiness for the future.
The program commenced with a welcome address delivered by Ms. Thamizh, B.Sc. (N) IV Year, MCON. This was followed by an inspiring speech on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and national unity by Ms. Azhagu Selvi, B.Sc. (N) IV Year, MCON, emphasizing the significance of unity and integrity in building a strong nation. Students actively participated in the interactive session, expressing their views and clarifying their doubts.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Priyadevi, B.Sc. (N) IV Year, MCON, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants for their enthusiasm and contribution.
The day’s observance reflected the true spirit of integration, justice, and national solidarity, inspiring students to uphold the ideals of unity and collective progress.
