MCAS Commemorates Constitution Day 2025 with Inspiring Activities and Strong Civic Engagement

Meenakshi College of Arts and Science (MCAS), Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (MAHER), observed Constitution Day on 26th November 2025 with a series of thoughtfully planned activities aligned with UGC guidelines. The celebration aimed to strengthen constitutional awareness and reaffirm the institution’s commitment to promoting democratic values among students and faculty members.

The observance began with the solemn pledge to the Constitution of India, taken collectively by faculty members, staff, and students. Through this pledge, participants renewed their dedication to the foundational ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. Active student participation was evident in the Online Quiz on Constitutional Democracy conducted via MyGov.in, where many students completed the quiz successfully and received digital certificates.

To encourage creativity and deeper engagement with constitutional themes, Essay Writing and Poster Making Competitions were conducted for postgraduate students. These activities inspired participants to reflect on the relevance of constitutional principles in contemporary society.

A key highlight of the celebration was an insightful address by Dr. P. Sagayaraj, Dean, MCAS, on the theme “Celebration of Constitution Day – Significance and Responsibilities.” He emphasized the historical importance of the Constitution and underscored the vital role of educators in cultivating constitutional values and responsibilities among students.

The event proved to be both meaningful and impactful, fostering a deeper understanding of constitutional duties and democratic participation across the campus. MCAS, MAHER, ensured that all activities were conducted in accordance with UGC guidelines, reinforcing its ongoing dedication to nurturing constitutional literacy and nation-building values among its stakeholders.
