The BDS students of Meenakshi Ammal Dental College participated in the INTER DENTAL CONVENTION – MOKSHA ’24 held by Sri Venkateshwara Dental College , Chennai.309 students from first to final years along with CRRI’s participated in this event.Our students have won the Overall winners in scientific sessions and overall winners in cultural events at MOKSHA.

The department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, Meenakshi Ammal Dental College and Hospital in collaboration with TACT – Academy of Clinical Training conducted a One- day basic life support workshop on 30th March 2024. World water day is celebrated by the Department of Public Health Dentistry , Meenakshi Ammal Dental College on 22.03.2024 enlightening the theme “Leveraging Water For Peace” and spreading awareness among people on the importance of preserving and using water judiciously .

Internal Quality Assurance Cell- Meenakshi Ammal Dental College and Hospital (IQAC-MADC) organized a guest lecture on “NEP 2020’S CONTRIBUTION TO HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT” from 1.30 -3.00 P.M. in lecture hall II. The aim of the workshop was to elaborate the NEP2020 policies and its role in improving the quality of higher education institute.

The Department of Public Health Dentistry celebrated “World Oral Health Day” on 20/03/2024 at Meenakshi Ammal Dental College and Hospital creating awareness on the importance of oral health and oral hygiene. The motto of the event was “Let’s shine bright together, because a healthy smile is the ultimate confidence booster!”

An oral health screening and awareness camp was organized by the Department of Pedodontics , Meenakshi Ammal Dental College at Whiz Juniors Preschool, Teynampet comprising 42 children. Oral health screening was done and treatment plan was elicited and explained individually for each child. Oral hygiene instructions were reinforced to the children.

Department of Microbiology, Meenakshi Ammal Dental College & Hospital has conducted a guest lecture on “HIV in Dentistry and Post exposure Prophylaxis”.
