Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing Students Gain Hands-on Learning Through Anatomy Laboratory Visit

The B.Sc. Nursing students of Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing (AMCON) undertook an academic visit to the Anatomy Laboratory of Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute on 18 December 2025 as part of their curricular requirements to strengthen their foundational knowledge of human anatomy. The visit was organized with the objective of providing hands-on exposure to anatomical structures and reinforcing theoretical concepts through direct observation. During the visit, students were guided through the dissection laboratory, where they observed preserved human organs, skeletal specimens, and anatomical models, enabling them to clearly understand the structural organization of the human body and its clinical relevance. Mr. Saravana Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Anatomy, along with his team, offered detailed explanations of anatomical structures, bones, and their functional significance, patiently addressing students’ queries and emphasizing the importance of anatomy in nursing practice. The visit was effectively coordinated by Mr. Dinesh Kumar R., Assistant Professor, AMCON, ensuring proper discipline, safety, and meaningful interaction between students and faculty. A total of 100 B.Sc. Nursing students participated and derived significant academic benefit from this enriching experience, which enhanced their professional learning and clinical preparedness.
