Meenakshi College of Occupational Therapy made a remarkable impact through its active participation in the Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Occupational Therapy Conference 2025 (SRFOTCON ’25), demonstrating strong academic engagement, cultural vibrancy, and exceptional sportsmanship. A large delegation of 189 students represented the college at the international conference, reflecting its commitment to professional exposure and continuous learning in the field of Occupational Therapy.
The cultural segment, “SPARKZ,” witnessed enthusiastic participation from 52 students who showcased their talents in a wide range of events including dance, vocal music, face painting, debate, photography, reel making, ramp walk, and ad-zap competitions. The students’ creativity and confidence were evident, bringing recognition to the institution through their vibrant performances.
The sports segment, “IGNITE,” further highlighted the competitive spirit and teamwork of the students, who actively took part in athletics, cricket, futsal, volleyball, basketball, kabaddi, kho-kho, throw ball, chess, carrom, and tennikoit. Their disciplined participation and determination resulted in commendable achievements, with the college emerging as winners in volleyball (men) and cricket, securing second prizes in basketball and relay, and earning multiple third-place finishes across various events.
Notable achievements included the first prize in the Shark Tank (Ad-zap) competition won by Ms. Monisha, Ms. Beulah, and Ms. Yuvasri of BOT I Year. The students also won third prizes in events such as Swaram (Duet Song), Sympora (Group Song), Kanthara (Face Painting), and Ramp On (Ramp Walk), showcasing their versatility across cultural platforms. In the academic category, Mr. Rohan T. and Ms. Ishrath Rahana secured third prize in the scientific e-poster presentation, while Mr. Sarath V., MOT I Year, won third prize in the scientific paper presentation.
The overall performance at SRFOTCON ’25 stands as a proud testament to the students’ dedication, unity, and multi-dimensional talents, reinforcing the importance of holistic development through academic excellence, creative expression, and sporting spirit.
