Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing Celebrates Christmas 2025 with Joy and Festive Spirit

The Student Nurses Association (SNA) of Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing organized Christmas Celebration 2025 on 19th December 2025 at the Multipurpose Hall with great enthusiasm, reverence, and a vibrant festive spirit. The celebration was thoughtfully planned to instil values of love, sharing, unity, and compassion among students while commemorating the joyous birth of Jesus Christ.

The programme commenced with a solemn invocation rendered by the B.Sc. Nursing students, seeking divine blessings for the celebration. This was followed by a warm welcome address by Mr. S. Vigneshwaran, SNA Vice President, who highlighted the significance of Christmas and emphasized the importance of harmony, togetherness, and mutual respect among students.

The celebration featured a rich blend of cultural and spiritual programmes presented by the students, including a graceful welcome dance, Bible reading, and a beautifully enacted Nativity play. The Nativity play vividly portrayed the birth of Jesus Christ and conveyed the true essence of Christmas by emphasizing peace, humility, and unconditional love for humanity. The performances were well received and added depth and meaning to the celebration.

The festive occasion was further enriched by the Christmas wishes and address delivered by Dr. S. Victor Devasirvadam, Principal, AMCON, who encouraged students to uphold strong moral and ethical values in both their personal and professional lives. A special Christmas message was delivered by Ms. Sangeetha, Missionary, CSI Dioceses, Chennai, who inspired the gathering by highlighting the importance of faith, hope, and selfless service to society.

Adding to the festive cheer, the programme included special Christmas performances such as group dances, a choir competition, and a lively Santa Claus act, which brought joy and excitement to the audience. The celebration reached a memorable highlight with the cake-cutting ceremony held in the presence of dignitaries, symbolizing sharing, unity, and togetherness. Prize distribution for the various competitions conducted as part of the celebration was carried out by Mr. Dinesh Kumar R., Assistant Professor, AMCON, acknowledging and motivating the students for their talents and participation.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Karventhan, SNA Secretary, who expressed sincere gratitude to the management, Principal, faculty members, organizing committee, and students for their wholehearted support and cooperation. The celebration concluded on a joyful note, creating lasting memories and fostering a spirit of unity, happiness, and goodwill among all participants.
