The Postgraduate students from the Department of Physiotherapy – Pediatric and Neonatal Science, Meenakshi College of Physiotherapy, organized a corporate health awareness session at Raptee.HV Headquarters, Mugalivakkam, Chennai, on 13 December 2025. The programme was conducted by Safina Amrin A. and Poojasree M. and benefited 25 corporate employees, with the objective of promoting occupational health and preventive care in technology-driven work environments.
The session focused on Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS), addressing its causes, early warning signs, and the increasing health risks associated with prolonged screen exposure. The students emphasized the role of physiotherapy in prevention and management, offering practical guidance through demonstrations on correct posture, eye exercises, scheduled micro-breaks, and simple ergonomic modifications suitable for office settings. The interactive and application-oriented approach enabled participants to relate the concepts directly to their daily work routines.
The programme was well received by both the participants and the HR team, who appreciated the relevance, clarity, and practical value of the session. As a gesture of appreciation, the students were presented with a complimentary gift at the conclusion of the programme. The initiative highlighted the growing importance of workplace wellness and the role of preventive healthcare in enhancing productivity and well-being
