Faculty of Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences Participate in NCAHP Implementation Awareness Programme and FDP

Faculty members of Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences — Prof. Dr. B. Durga, Vice Principal, along with Mrs. ATMK Anusha, Mrs. B. Roshini, and Mr. S. Eswar, Assistant Professors — participated in the NCAHP Implementation Awareness Programme featuring an expert panel discussion and Faculty Development Programme (FDP). The event was organized by the Radiology Imaging Technology Association at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Kattankulathur, Chennai, on 28th February 2026.

The programme focused on the implementation of the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) Act and addressed key regulatory aspects such as the adoption of “One Nation – One Curriculum,” adherence to prescribed credit hours, faculty recruitment and infrastructure norms, admission guidelines, and outcome-based education practices. The deliberations provided clarity on statutory compliance and institutional responsibilities under the NCAHP framework.

The faculty members also attended the Faculty Development Programme and successfully completed the course titled “University Teaching Principles and Ethical Use of AI Tools for Research and Publications.” They were awarded certificates of active participation in recognition of their engagement and successful course completion.

The programme significantly strengthened institutional preparedness for the effective implementation of NCAHP norms at Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences from the academic year 2026–2027 onwards, reinforcing the commitment to regulatory compliance and academic excellence.
