Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences Celebrates World Health Day with Creative Student Engagement

Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MAHER) observed World Health Day on 10th April 2026 for III Year AHS students, focusing on promoting awareness of healthy lifestyles, nutrition, and preventive health practices.

Prof. Dr. B. Durga, Vice Principal, addressed the students and emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced diet, adopting traditional food practices, and limiting the intake of processed foods to ensure long-term well-being.

The programme featured a series of engaging and creative events, including “Decor the Plate” (with themes such as Healthy vs Unhealthy and Traditional vs Modern Food), Slogan Writing, and Meme Creation. These activities encouraged students to creatively express their understanding of nutrition and healthy living.

Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing innovative ideas and a strong awareness of making healthier lifestyle choices. The programme concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where Prof. Dr. V. Ramnath, Principal, appreciated the participants for their active involvement and creativity.

This engagement enhanced students’ awareness of nutrition, preventive health, and lifestyle choices, while strengthening their ability to communicate health messages effectively and creatively.
