The Medical Education Unit of Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (MMCHRI) organized the CRMI Orientation Program titled “Stepping into Clinical Practice” on 20th April 2026 at the 250 Lecture Hall for the 2021–22 batch.
The programme commenced with registration followed by an inaugural session, setting the stage for a structured introduction to clinical responsibilities. Sessions included detailed addresses on roles and responsibilities, professional ethics, attendance norms, and institutional guidelines essential for Compulsory Rotatory Medical Internship (CRMI).
Participants were oriented on key operational aspects such as logbook maintenance, clinical postings across various departments, and exposure to community medicine. The programme also introduced essential laboratory procedures, pharmacovigilance practices, and blood bank protocols to strengthen practical understanding.
The post-lunch sessions focused on certifiable clinical skills, code of conduct, infection control practices, and NABH-compliant documentation, ensuring students are well-prepared for real-time clinical settings.
The programme concluded with reflections from CRMI representatives and a feedback session, providing a comprehensive overview and clarity for interns as they transition into clinical practice.
This academic engagement enhanced students’ readiness for internship, strengthened their clinical knowledge and professional conduct, and improved their understanding of healthcare systems and patient care protocols.
