The National Organ Donation Awareness Quiz was successfully conducted through the My Bharat portal for students and NSS volunteers, aiming to promote awareness and understanding of organ donation and its significance in saving lives.
The quiz link was circulated among the students of Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (MMCHRI) by the College NSS Coordinator, Dr. Sakthivel, encouraging active participation in the national awareness initiative.
A remarkable total of 853 students successfully participated in and completed the quiz, receiving certificates upon completion. The participation included 247 first-year students, 246 second-year students, 151 third-year students, 147 fourth-year students, 50 Interns/CRMI students, and 12 postgraduate students.
The initiative served as an effective platform to educate students about organ donation, ethical awareness, and the importance of community participation in healthcare advocacy. This academic engagement enhanced students’ awareness of organ donation and public health responsibility, while encouraging active participation in national healthcare awareness initiatives.
