The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences, observed World Laboratory Technologist Day on 20th March 2026 by organizing a quiz competition for students on the theme “Where Science Meets Precision, Lab Technicians Lead the Way.”
The programme was conducted with the objective of enhancing students’ knowledge and fostering greater interest in the field of Medical Laboratory Technology. The quiz featured questions covering a broad range of topics related to laboratory sciences, diagnostic procedures, and clinical techniques, encouraging students to strengthen their academic and practical understanding.
Nearly 100 students enthusiastically participated in the competition, displaying keen interest, active involvement, and healthy competitive spirit throughout the event. The programme provided an engaging and intellectually stimulating platform for learning, interaction, and knowledge exchange among students. Participants who excelled in the competition were recognized and appreciated for their outstanding performance. This academic engagement enhanced students’ subject knowledge, analytical thinking, and awareness of diagnostic sciences, while encouraging active learning and professional interest in laboratory technology.
