Interns from the Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) and Anaesthesia Technology (AT) departments of Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MCAHS), MAHER, actively participated in a Collaborative Medical Camp organized by Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (MMCHRI) on 4th July 2026. The camp provided students with an opportunity to contribute to community healthcare while gaining valuable hands-on clinical experience.
Working alongside healthcare professionals, the interns assisted in blood pressure (BP) screening, outpatient (OP) services, patient registration, patient guidance, and the overall coordination of the camp. Their active involvement ensured the smooth conduct of the programme while enabling them to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world healthcare setting.
The outreach initiative enhanced the interns’ clinical competencies, communication skills, teamwork, and understanding of community-based healthcare services, while fostering a spirit of service and professional responsibility.
The medical camp was successfully conducted through the collaborative efforts of faculty members, healthcare professionals, and student volunteers, benefiting the local community while providing students with valuable experiential learning in community healthcare.
