Dr. Mahesh Kumar P. G., Professor, Meenakshi College of Physiotherapy, MAHER, was conferred the Academic Excellence Award 2026 at the Physiotherapy Excellence Award 2026 and CME, organised by Hamsa Rehab on 20 September 2026 in Chennai.
The event brought together eminent physiotherapy professionals from across the region for a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme themed “One Profession, Many Voices, Countless Achievements.” The programme featured expert panel discussions, including “Can AI & Technology Replace Physiotherapists?”, along with sessions on physiotherapy rehabilitation, patient adherence, and outcome measures in clinical practice.
Dr. Mahesh Kumar contributed to the scientific proceedings by sharing his perspectives during the panel discussion, drawing on his academic experience in physiotherapy education. The Academic Excellence Award 2026 recognises his contributions to physiotherapy education and his role in nurturing and shaping future professionals in the field.
