Meenakshi Medical College Hospital & Research Institute Welcomes the 24th MBBS Batch with Deeksharambh 2026

Meenakshi Medical College Hospital & Research Institute (MMCH&RI) commenced the Foundation Course – “Deeksharambh 2026” for the 24th Batch of MBBS students on 24 September 2026. The programme marked the beginning of the students’ journey into medical education and professional life.

The programme was inaugurated by the Dean, who warmly welcomed the new batch and highlighted the importance of professionalism, compassion, discipline, responsibility, and service to humanity in the medical profession. The Vice Principal (Academics) and Vice Principal (Student Affairs) addressed the students, providing valuable guidance on academic expectations, institutional practices, student responsibilities, and maintaining professional conduct throughout their medical education.

The Heads of various Departments interacted with the students and introduced them to their respective departments, academic learning, clinical exposure, and the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in medical education. The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) also provided an overview of hospital functioning, patient care, clinical discipline, safety practices, and the responsibilities of medical students within the hospital environment.

The foundation course served as a meaningful orientation for the new batch, preparing students for their academic and clinical journey while instilling the values and professional responsibilities essential to becoming compassionate and competent healthcare professionals.
