MAHER Advanced Research Center for Health Sciences, in collaboration with Meenakshi Ammal Dental College and Hospital (MADCH), organized a one-day invited talk titled “Extra Mural Funding – Strategies and Opportunities” on 31st October 2025.
The session was led by Dr. M. S. Muthu, Professor and Head, Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Sri Ramachandra Dental College and Hospital, SRIHER, Chennai. He shared insightful perspectives on research grant opportunities, proposal writing techniques, and strategic approaches to securing external funding for research projects.
The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Arunagirinathan, Dean – Research, MAHER, followed by the introduction of the speaker by Dr. M. Preethi, Associate Dean – Research. Dr. N. Velmurugan, Principal, MADCH, felicitated the distinguished speaker, appreciating his valuable contribution to the field of dental research and funding guidance.
The session witnessed active participation from faculty members and postgraduate students of MADCH, who engaged enthusiastically in the interactive discussion on effective grant writing and funding avenues. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. G. Lambodharan, Vice Principal, MADCH, marking a successful and enriching knowledge-sharing experience for all attendees.
