MCAHS SIP 2026 Day 3 Enriches Students with Insights into Teamwork, Mentorship and Career Development

The third day of the Student Induction Programme (SIP) 2026 at Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MCAHS), held on 2 September 2026, featured a series of informative and engaging sessions focused on professional teamwork, mentorship, drug awareness, grievance redressal, placements, and sports.

Ms. Haripriya, Assistant Professor, Department of Critical Care Technology, SRM College of Allied Health Sciences, conducted a session on “Interprofessional Teamwork in Healthcare,” highlighting the importance of collaboration and effective communication among healthcare professionals. Prof. Dr. B. Durga, Vice Principal (Admin), MCAHS, oriented students on “Meet the Mentors” and introduced the role and functions of the Student Grievance Redressal Committee.

The session “Say No, Stay Strong: A Drug-Free Journey” was conducted by Mrs. J. Indira, ICTC Counsellor, Sriperumbudur GH, creating awareness about the consequences of substance abuse and the importance of making healthy and responsible choices. Ms. Yuvapriya Manivannan, Tutor, Department of Renal Dialysis Technology, MCAHS, provided an orientation on the Placement Cell, highlighting career preparation and employment opportunities.

The day concluded with an orientation on sports and student participation, conducted by Mr. Eswar, Assistant Professor, Department of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology, and Ms. Sreevardhini Ravindran, Tutor, Department of Cardiac Perfusion Technology, MCAHS.

The sessions witnessed active student participation and provided valuable insights into professional collaboration, institutional support systems, career development, healthy living, and holistic student development.
