The Department of Computer Science and Applications, Meenakshi College of Arts and Science (MCAS), MAHER, organized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony with EDINZ TECH Private Limited, Chennai, followed by a guest lecture on “Human Skills in an AI World: What Will Make You Irreplaceable?” on 30th July 2026 at the MAHER Auditorium.
The programme commenced with the formal signing of the MoU between Prof. Dr. V. Surekha, Registrar, MAHER, and Dr. Karthiya Banu, Managing Director, EDINZ TECH Private Limited. The ceremony was graced by Dr. P. Sagayaraj, Dean, MCAS; Dr. V. Shanthi, Principal, MCAS (Shift I); Dr. N. Prabhavathy Devi, Principal, MCAS (Shift II); and Dr. Tharanikumar, Associate Dean – External Collaborations, MAHER, marking the beginning of a collaborative partnership aimed at strengthening industry–academia engagement.
Following the MoU signing, Dr. Karthiya Banu delivered an insightful guest lecture focusing on the essential human skills required to thrive in an AI-driven world. She emphasized the importance of critical thinking, creativity, adaptability, communication, emotional intelligence, and lifelong learning as key attributes that complement technological advancements and enhance career success.
The session was further enriched by Mr. Aravindh from EDINZ TECH, who shared valuable guidance on career preparedness, highlighting the steps students should take before completing their degree to improve their employability and transition successfully into the professional world.
Students enthusiastically participated in the interactive session, engaging with the speakers through thought-provoking discussions on emerging technologies, career opportunities, and future workplace expectations. The programme was coordinated by Mrs. R. Arivukkodi, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science and Applications, along with the faculty members of the department.
The event strengthened industry–academia collaboration while equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and professional outlook needed to excel in an AI-enabled future.
